East of the Pennines
Day 5
Burton - Leeds Bradford 96 Miles
This was probably the worst day of all. As we set off onto the A38 the traffic was heavy and the weather conditions didnt help. We travelled through Sheffield and Barnsley as it continued to rain this slowed us down on route to our next destinated. When we reached the hotel we earned a well deserved pint while watching the Chelsea v Barcelona game.

Day 6
Leeds Bradford - West Woodburn 109 Miles
The day started early and was to be our biggest milage day so far, the weather was on our side which helped. As we travelled through the Pennines the views were lovely. Unfortunately we got lost on our travells which cost us some time. We eventually got to the B&B around 7pm, things looked up as the owner looked after us with great food, lovely rooms and not a little chef in sight.
Leeds Bradford - West Woodburn 109 Miles
The day started early and was to be our biggest milage day so far, the weather was on our side which helped. As we travelled through the Pennines the views were lovely. Day 7
West Woodburn - Dunfirmline 98 Miles
As we left the comfort of our B&B we headed off for Scotland. The weather was terrible, hale, rain and 25mph winds to contend made today extremely hard. As the milage creeps up again the days are starting to get harder and the cycling seems never ending. When we reached Dunferlime Stacy rejoined us to drive the van again.
