About me

Athletic Background
I started lifting at 12 1/2 years old to get stronger for football and wrestling. Entering high school, I decided to concentrate solely on wrestling. I had a fairly successful wrestling career up through high school, starting four years for Cincinnati Moeller High School
and becoming a two-time Ohio State Qualifier and All-Ohio Academic. I got into powerlifting over the summer before my senior year of high school, and I set an American Powerlifting Association record for my age and weight class at the time . However, I didn't like the low-volume, high-rest training associated with powerlifting, so when I entered college, I began bodybuilding. Within a year, my weight shot up about 20 pounds, and I entered my first competition in March of 2003. Since then, I have competed in five Regional and six National level contests including the 2007 NPC Nationals where I won the bantamweight class and earned my IFBB pro card.

Future Bodybuilding Aspirations
I plan to continue training and hope to compete in my first professional competition in late 2008 or 2009.

Educational and Career Info
I completed my Doctor of Physical Therapy degree and my Bachelor of Science in Rehabilitation Science/Athletic Training at the University of Pittsburgh. I am currently employed as a physical therapist and certified athletic trainer in Dayton, OH.

Acknowledgements
I would like to thank my parents and my new wife, Alison, for all of the support that they have given me throughout my training. Alison and I were recently married in St. Thomas, USVI on December 6, 2008.
I would also like to thank my trainer Jeremy Minihan of Size and Shape Fitness in Oklahoma City for all of the help he has provided me in achieving my best ever conditioning.
