We are a group of parents and caregivers who believe that there is way too much violence in our schools. We believe that children need security and safety in order to learn effectively. We are volunteers who work with Bully Police USA to keep bullies and bullying behavior out of our schools. We advocate for laws to prevent bullying in schools and hope to have laws nationwide. Our Philosophy
We believe that without neighborhoods, churches, businesses, individuals, organizations, community leaders, and the law enforcement behind a combined effort to improve, enhance and lift up our communities we will continue to fall short in our goals to have communities we can raise our children in safely.
Our children will one day have to go out in this world, and our IDEA is that if they take this experience with them they will never fail. They will want the same for their children and their communities.
The words you hear affect your thoughts, the thoughts you have affect your actions, your actions affect your habits and your habits affect your lifestyle. If all you hear is bad things, then you will have bad thoughts. If you only have bad thoughts you will do bad actions, if you do bad actions your habits will be bad. If you have bad habits your will have a lifestyle that is bad.
What we want to do as a community based organization is to get everyone together with one plan. We want to use the resources that are already set up, create new resources if needed and start changing the aforementioned process so that one day our kids will know that there is a better way.
We want to take the policies in our schools and enhance them with programs encouraging safety. We want to teach our children diversity and differences are acceptable and that it is those differences that make this world grow. We want to create a nation of compassionate and caring children one community at a time. We want to make schools not only safe but fun places to learn and grow into well-balanced contributing members of society.
Our plan is rather large. It will consist of organizing resources that already exist, setting up meetings to make plans for them to participate, holding fundraising events that will benefit the community, helping those that are unable to do home projects or repairs, creating safe places for the children to hang out and play, helping parents understand their children and putting people who need the help with those people that can help.
What we need today is a commitment from you to show everyone that it's time to stand up, take
responsibility and start working towards one goal for everyone. Whether that is a monetary donation, a goods donation, use of your building, spreading the word about this plan, or whatever you can do. That is the important part. Let's show the community that we care, and are taking the first step towards our goal.
