God gave us a good Christmas!

Chocolates, a wall clock, clothes, a carry on, a sack of rice, cards, toiletries, household items and more came from our church family here with about a dozen cards from the US!.  Pictured is my family with the nice gifts we enjoyed this Christmas.
Welcome to our family!

My family consists of my wife Lenore (who loves cooking and is very out-going), Joshua (who is with us on the field and likes basketball, weight-lifting, drawing, and playing the guitar and violin), Jonathan (who is training at a  Bible College in the states), myself (who is an unusual character), all those who sort of adopted us as we traveled doing God's will, and various pets we have became attached tooalong the way..  While we have two others who live on our church property and are like "family," here we will highlight some recent news about the "Mislan" family.  But... stay tuned because I'm still woking on this page.

Recent E-mail from our Son Jonathan:

I love you too. You really don't have to send me any $. I'm perfectly fine and the Lord takes care of me. I'm already here in Oklahoma city and have been since last Sunday, I've been kind of interning at the church here. They just finished their annual youth conference and the Lord blessed in a great way! There were over 900 high school kids here. The preaching was great, some souls were saved, and many decision were made! The dorms open at the school on Friday Aug 21. First day of classes is about a week after that, in between is a week of preaching. Actually you would be surprised to know that I have a very good wardrobe. In fact when I get settled in my dorm room, I'm gonna have to downsize it and give some stuff away. I have plenty (too many) good suits and jackets, plenty of dress pants, and way too many dress shirts! The Lord takes care of me. In fact I was at Little Coweta Baptist Church .(that's the church Jed is from, the other guy from Heartland that worked at the Camp with me this summer) I was there for a little bit between Camp getting out and coming back down here to Oklahoma .While I was there the Pastor gave me a whole bunch of brand new, still-in-the-package dress shirts and told me to just give away whatever I didn't want/need. SO yes ma'm, my wardrobe is good, thanks to the LORD. Really the last thing I need is more clothes. I'm fine so you really don't need to send me money. You probably need it more than I do. Just do with it however the Lord leads you.  Here's the house number where I'm staying at, XXXX if you want to call. If you want to call me on Wednesday, the best time is after church because I'll be working all day. Around 10 Am Thursday morning (your time) would be best if you want to. Oh yeah, the money that grandma sent, the best way would probably be if you sent it through Western Union . Just let me know how to receive it when you do it. Well, that's all I've got for now. I love you all, Goodbye and GOD bless!
Old fashioned Values are still Alive!  Hi Dad how's everything been going? Well, to be honest I'm emailing you right now to ask you a question. There's finally a girl here at college that I believe the Lord has caused me to take notice of. I've talked w/ her a bit already but before I pursue to try and get to know her any more, I believe the Biblical thing to do is to come to you as my father with this question. Do you believe that I am ready to pursue a relationship? I know I haven't been around where you can have too much of an eye on me, so if you don't feel you can answer I understand. I would highly value any input you could give. I'm just trying to do things the Bible way. Well, thank you and I hope to here from you soon. Goodbye and GODbless!
The latest news of our Family!

My wife's Mom dies at 79.
On November 24th, Lenore's Mom died in a hospital in Costa Rica while undergoing surgery  for a worsening heart condition and had collapsed  before, being found unconscious in both private and public places.  My wife takes comfort that at least she was able to die well attended and with dignity. "Daisy was 79 years of age, a faithful Catholic, and made a questionable profession just before her death.  Pictured, is her and her injuries from previous falls.  Please pray for my wife and her grieving family.
Our Youngest Son, Joshua!
Stay tuned.  Joshua left for school already.  He helps with our music program, leads the choir, plays the guitar and violin in our services, and is active in our youth group and visitation.
Jonathan, our Eldest Son!
